You've heard the phrase "It takes a village"?

In faith circles its known as a "body" where we all have a part to play in the bigger picture. A body won't work well without the left foot or without eyes, ears etc. All the pieces are needed to come together into one fully functioning whole. Without this community-wide participation, everyone loses.

We all have these "gifts" or things that we naturally like to do. Often, we happen to be pretty good at it. Not everyone is good at the same things.

Much of the joy in the "gifts" is in the sharing with someone else who wants to learn what you know. 

In addition to the satisfaction of helping someone, great, lifelong friendships often result from this give-take relationship.
